Tribute to Jo Cox

We are far more united and have far more in common than that which divides us.” These words are from Jo Cox’s maiden speech delivered to Parliament on June 3, 2015. The Great Get Together is an initiative, inspired by the late Jo Cox MP, designed to bring people together to celebrate what they have in common. Through the Great Get Together, people across the country are asked to make new connections and promote Jo's message of unity. Paul Howell, MP for Sedgefield said:  “On Friday June 18th, as a tribute to Jo,  I was delighted Town and County Councillors of all parties and none, joined some of my team and I at Newton Aycliffe Town Park for a relaxed walk along the Burn. We all recognise Jo Cox’s message and how working together is best for the town
